ULRIKA SPACEK
British art rock band Ulrika Spacek return to North America on a predominantly west coast tour that also takes the band to Mexico City for the first time. ’Compact Trauma’ the third LP made by the band was released in March 2023 to critical acclaim and was followed by extensive touring of the UK/EU & US.
Ulrika Spacek's immersive live performances are marked by their intensity and the band's ability to recreate the textured layers of their studio recordings on stage. Their commitment to artistic experimentation and sonic exploration continues to garner them a dedicated following within the underground indie music community.
To celebrate the announcement of the band returning to North America, live album ’Live to 388, NYC’ has been made available to stream on all digital formats. The recordings were previously only available on a limited number of vinyl, with only 388 copies being made.
ARTSICK
Artsick is an indie pop band from Oakland/Seaside California. Artsick was formed by Riley Riley of the late Burnt Palms with Mario Hernandez of Kids On A Crime Spree on drums and originally featured Donna McKean of Lunchbox on bass. Words from Slumberland Records: “Artsick's debut album "Fingers Crossed" is a thrilling, compelling and downright fun record that surveys a vast swathe of indie and indiepop history, from DIY progenitors like Dolly Mixture through the punkier side of C86 (think Talulah Gosh, Fat Tulips) to the 90s K Records-centered International Pop Underground and straight through more recent exemplars like Vivian Girls and Colleen Green. It's all brought to life by Riley's songwriting as she crafts tunes that are as new-sounding as they are timeless, full of melodic twists and sharp, honest lyrics.”
