Good Friends
Hi! We're Good Friends (really good). Good Friends is fronted by Jerome Porter and Eva Parr- two tender hearted weirdos with an affinity for songwriting and singing harmonies.
Good Friends began on what was supposed to be a solo tour booked by Jerome, that Eva joined in on-just for the ride. Turns out long drives are perfect for singing, and learning harmonies. By the end of the trip, Eva was singing the entire set, collaborating on songwriting with Jerome, and sharing songs of their own. They have been singing, writing, and playing together ever since.
In the Spring of 2025, they were joined by brothers Max and Sam Bramer on drums and upright bass, whose jazz, classical, and soul influences (and brotherly love) added a grounding groove to the duo's gentle songwriting. Josh Brumley joined the group soon after, and with his bluegrass background, production and songwriting prowess, and multi-instrumental proficiency, expanded the band's sound even further. Today, Good Friends makes music that is unlike any other, and yet wholly comforting.
“Our music rides the line of strange and familiar, somewhere you swear you've been before but just can't place. We live together in Point Reyes, California, and write folk songs about the great mystery, the human condition, and our dogs. Whether an intimate duo or with the fullness of our entire band, these songs intend to fill rooms with a feeling of home.”
